WHAT IS Eulexin/Flutamide CAPSULES?
Eulexin/FLUTAMIDE blocks the effect of the male hormone called testosterone . It is used in combination with another medication to treat prostate cancer. This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions. Eulexin/Flutamide is an antiandrogen. It works in the body to prevent the actions of androgens (male hormones).
WHAT SIDE EFFECTS MAY I NOTICE FROM Eulexin/Flutamide?
Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
- rectal bleeding or inflammation
- vomiting
- yellowing of the eyes or skin
- dark yellow or brown urine
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
- loss of sex drive
- skin rush
- diarrhea
- nausea

WHAT IF I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication.
WHAT SHOULD I TELL MY HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS BEFORE I TAKE Eulexin/Flutamide?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- liver disease
- lactose intolerance
- cigarette smoker
- hemoglobin M disease
- an unusual or allergic reaction to Eulexin/flutamide, other chemotherapy, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
Eulexin/Flutamide is not indicated for use by women. Eulexin/Flutamide is in the FDA pregnancy category D. This means that it is known to harm an unborn baby. Do not take Eulexin/flutamide if your partner is planning to become pregnant.
WHAT SHOULD I WATCH FOR WHILE USING Eulexin/Flutamide?
Visit your doctor or health care professional for regular checks on your progress. Improvement in your condition can take several days.
This medicine is only for use in men. There is no indication for the use of this medicine in women. This medicine should never be given to pregnant women, as it may cause harm to the developing fetus.
WHERE SHOULD I KEEP Eulexin/Flutamide?
Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.

HOW SHOULD I USE Eulexin/Flutamide?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Eulexin/Flutamide is usually taken three times a day (every 8 hours). Follow your doctor's instructions. Finish the full course prescribed by your doctor or health care professional, even if the capsules make you feel sick. Do not stop taking except on the advice of your doctor or health care professional.
What is the shelf life of the pills?
- The expiry date is mentioned on each blister. It is different for different batches. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture and would differ from batch to batch depending on when they were manufactured.
